Enjoy the photos!
~ December 23, 2008 ~ PHIL & KAYLEE ~ Tofino, BC ~
I do not know what could be more romantic than just you, your spouse and a couple family members alone on a beach ... yes, even in winter surrounded by gorgeous white crystalized snow!! So incredibly beautiful & memorable for this couple. I met Kaylee when she came to find her dream dress & she soon fell in love with this stunning Alfred Sung gown. I also had some hair pins that perfectly complimented the detail on the bodice. The pink gumboots were all her though ~ so cute & fun!! :) To a wonderful couple, congratulations and all the best on starting a new year together! Thanks for letting me be a part of your time leading up to your special day.

~ October 20, 2008 ~ ADRIAN & STACEY ~ Punta Cana, Dominican Republic ~
I met Stacey only about two and half months before her wedding. She already had a prospective dress, but just wanted to check one last place. She tried on a few of the Destination gowns I have, but none of them were "the dress." We had a quick last minute look through the Jasmine catalogue and this B2 dress caught her eye. As with anything, ordering something without trying it on first is a huge gamble. I had her try on a few dresses that were similar style and size to give her the best idea possible ... she trusted me and I rush ordered this dress. Only the sleeves needed to be altered a little, other than that the dress fit her perfectly. With the little yellow ribbon detail around the waist, it nicely complimented her bridesmaids dresses and her flowers. I could go on here and explain why I think the dress was a perfect match for her, but these photos perfectly capture that beauty & your smile says is all Stacey! Thank you so much for including me in this memorable time!!

~ September 20, 2008 ~ GORDON & TRICIA ~ Aldersyde, AB ~
I am incredibly lucky to meet such wonderful people! Tricia came to me looking for her special gown, and she fell in love with a gorgeous silk gown by Canadian designer Renella De Fina. Her seamstress hemmed the front layers and put in a lace up back to give her the perfect fit. She also found hair accessories and earrings in the boutique, to complete her look. I really enjoyed designing her flowers because I was able to combine blue with the beautiful colors of fall! They could not have asked for a more beautiful day to have their ceremony & reception on their ranch. After throwing rose petals down for her walk down the aisle, completing the finishing touches, and sharing a few tears, I was lucky enough to stay for the ceremony with their friends & family. I love how Tricia & her bridesmaids also wore cowboy boots! To a great couple, thank you for including me in your special day!

~ September 6, 2008 ~ SCOTT & AMANDA ~ Crystal Ridge Golf Club, Okotoks, AB ~
I initially met Amanda when I had a booth at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino Bridal Fair, Feb 2007. She was very interested in a simple bridal gown ... but that changed quickly a few months later, when she came to the boutique with a friend and tried this Allie Renee corset gown. The beautiful lace detail on the bodice with the broach and the full pick-up tulle skirt, just made her smile to no end! :) I had just recently got in some new veils and headpieces and her look was put together beautifully.
I was also very lucky to be involved in their wedding doing all the flowers and decor. The roses & freesia mixture for her bouquet smelled so wonderful! I added her accent color turquiose in a dusting over the roses, for the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Her reception was held in a very classy club house, so just a few touches were needed to make that room special for them. Table runners, roses and lily floral centerpieces, mirror tiles, and the light coasters under the tall vases with gel crystals really shimmered. I ordered heart wine stoppers and round tins for their favors through Wedding Star, and Amanda nicely wrapped them in turquoise boxes. From what I hear & photos I've seen, there were lots of laughs and everyone had a wonderful time celebrating! Thanks for letting me be so involved during this wonderful time ~ it was a pleasure!
Love is friendship set on fire!

~ August 31, 2008 ~ KALIB & KARINA ~ High River, AB ~
I got a phone call from Karina the day I got home from the hospital after having my little girl ~ she was very kind and gave me a week grace time before coming to try dresses :) Karina was a lot of fun to meet and work with because she was not a traditional Bride ... instead, looking for something very different & I was glad to be able to help her find that! Karina & Kalib got married in an private intimate ceremony in Bali, Indonesia in February 2008. Then they decided to throw a grande fun party with their family & friends here at home. She was not looking for a traditional gown by any means ... instead a very sexy stylish gown ... and that she did find :) I'm also glad to have helped her Mother-in-Law, Mother, Grandmother & friend all find the perfect dress for this party. Thanks Karina, I really enjoyed my time with you guys! All the best ... and it seems like we might have a little kiddo play date in the future ;) Congrats!

~ August 16, 2008 ~ IAN & NIKKI ~ DeWinton, AB ~
Nikki came to the boutique looking for a very simple dress. She found one ... that was until her Mom came along the following time & convinced her how gorgeous she looked in this Jasmine gown. Nikki & Ian had a fun western wedding ~ they ALL wore cowboy boots! :) The bridesmaid's dresses were ordered from the B2 line of Jasmine, in a cranberry color to compliment the beading & sash on her gown. All the best & congrats!
Wishing you a happy marriage and hoping that your life together will be rich in joy and love!

~ July 25, 2008 ~ MARC & NICOLE ~ Halifax, NS ~
Things just seem to fall into place nicely for certain Brides! Nicole only tried a couple dresses before trying the beautiful Mon Cheri bridal gown with the oyster colored wrap around the waist with two tails & detail down the train. It flattered and suited her so beautifully! The seamstress put in a lace-up back for her so it fit perfectly. I had a necklace & earrings set with the same type of stones as on her dress, so that complimented nicely. Nicole's bridesmaids dresses are B2 dresses from Jasmine, and the color she chose again complimented and tied everything together with the oyster colored sash on her dress! I'm glad they had a beautiful day to go along with the amazing backdrop of the Nova Scotia coast line! Congrats!!

~ June 21,2008 ~ JIM & JACLYN ~ Halifax, NS ~
I am very lucky to have these two in my life! They are great friends and they have become honorary Auntie & Uncle to my little girl :) Jaclyn's gorgeous Jasmine gown was custom ordered with her measurements to minimize alterations. It arrived early & fit perfectly - the seamstress only needed to bustle her train. She tried on a few accessories and luckily I had a veil, headpiece and necklace/bracelet all with small flowers that complimented the detail on her dress. I was able to find hot pink feather boas to lay across the head table and cake table, and the apple blossoms in the vase with the hot pink gel crystals all coordinated perfectly! Jaclyn & I spent an evening watching What Not to Wear and put together the ribbons, rhinestones & cards for her Wishing Tree. She used this tree in place of a guest book, and it looked beautiful! Jim did a great job (with the assistance of Jaclyn's friend) decorating the reception site!
Unfortunately, we were not able to be in Halifax for their special day ... we really wanted to be! One evening in September, Jaclyn put on her dress and I took a few photos (the last 2 photos attached here) as she walked along the Sheep River. Thank you for letting me help you prepare for your special day & also for your wonderful friendship! You are a beautiful couple ~ inside & out!

~ June 21, 2008 ~ MATHEW & SHELLY ~ De Winton, AB ~
What a wonderful couple, and so in love! I met Shelly over a year before their wedding to start organizing for their special day. I was able to get monogrammed napkins in their 'perfect sunset’ theme colors. Working with Shelly was wonderful, because she has a background in wedding planning; so both of us working together made this experience a lot of fun. I decorated the gazebo, but at the time I was 9 months pregnant and she was very gracious to have friends & family help set up the hall and take down the decorations for me. My baby waited until the Monday about half hour after I finished returning all her rentals to start making her arrival!
Shelly & Mathew, thank you for the visit following your wedding! It was so nice to sit and talk with you both and not have to worry about last minute details ... just relax & enjoy good company :) All the best, and I wish you a lifetime of happiness.
Life is a journey, and love is what makes that journey worthwhile!

~ May 10, 2008 ~ TIM & DAWN ~ Calgary, AB ~
This is a couple with such big hearts! The day before their wedding, Dawn was rushed in for emergency surgery! Despite the stress and the unexpected surgery, they decided to have a ceremony with their close friends & family at the Rockyview Hospital chapel. I took in a few bouquets, boutonnieres and large vase arrangements for them. Dawn looked beautiful even though what she was going through. Still lots of smiles! They had a formal ceremony and reception June 6th at the Sheridan Cavalier. It was a pleasure to meet the three of you and thank you for including me not once, but twice! I'm very glad that you are both healthy & happy :)

~ January 26, 2008 ~ ANTHONY & JENNIFER ~ Valley Ridge Golf Club, Calgary, AB ~
What a fun couple! I had the pleasure of knowing them & working together for about a year to plan their special day! I had the opportunity to also work together with a few wonderful wedding businesses (Edward Ross Photography, Trans Canada Weddings & Firefly Occasions) to make their day as they dreamed it to be. There were flowers & large ostrich feathers everywhere at the Valley Ridge Golf course to set the grand & beautiful evening. Then we also did the small details, such as a single white rose at each guest place setting. Ending with a fun photo booth! I was very lucky to see Jennifer & Anthony on their wedding day ... both smiling non-stop!!

~ January 19, 2008 ~ STANTEC WINTER GALA ~ Hyatt Regency, Calgary, AB ~
This is the second year in a row that Stantec included me in their grand gala. This year it was Mardi Gras themed ~ so big, outrageous & colorful!! The centerpieces were tall eiffel towers with gel crystals filling the vase, and purple, green & gold feathers & decorations out the top. There were also lights tucked in the center of the feathers and they made the arrangement glow with all the room lights down low. Washroom arrangements were also in the eiffel towers, but the feathers were arranged like a large fan with a feather mask in the center. A few other tall vases were also used with masks on the buffet tables and the fortune teller tables. Lastly, there were single gerberas sprayed with gold sparkles in rose bowls, with green & yellow ice cube lights mixed in with the clear glass gems. Unfortunately, I was not able to see the room all set up, because that same night I was involved in a grad fashion show with the Okotoks Youth Centre.
I made 98 arrangements total, and this would not have been possible without the help of my wonderful assistants, Melody & Jaclyn. Also, thanks to Jeff & Ryan for setting up all the arrangements and pulling all the tabs for the lights! :) THANK YOU!
