The greatest compliment is when a friend says, "I trust you. Do what ever you want!!" WOW!! I have known Marlene for a couple years, and she is not only gorgeous on the outside but wonderful & caring, an incredible friend and she was a fantastic Bride to work with! We brainstormed a few ideas, and then she came back to me with a photo she liked. From that, I let my imagination go and had so much fun with all her decorating and flowers! The ceremony was at the Bar None Ranch, a breathtakingly gorgeous ranch just outside of Okotoks. The reception was at the Crystal Ridge Golf Club. She found her perfect gown in my boutique, as well as accessories and her Maid of Honor's dress. The colors we decided for flowers & table overlays fit in so well with the beautiful colors of fall. It is also a great compliment when the Groom takes notice of the flowers & decor! That really doesn't happen very often! Thank you SO MUCH Paul & Marlene, for letting me be involved in your special day & most importantly for your friendship! And, your reception is one I will never forget ... so much fun & many laughs!!

~ August 26 , 2009 ~ BRADLEY & ROBYN ~ Calgary, AB ~
Without a storefront I truly rely on word-of-mouth from family, friends, colleagues, and past customers. I am a member of Foothills Search & Rescue along with Robyn’s parents, and a couple months before their wedding they learned about The Lily Pad. They already had everything planned with décor & supplies provided, all they needed was some peace of mind for the day … and I was very happy to do that for them! I set up the ceremony site (which was at an outside theatre in Fish Creek Park) with some help from the Bride’s father, brother and brother-in-law! They were amazing help! With the beauty of the surroundings, not much décor was needed; a backdrop with some extra fresh flowers, urns with flowers grown by her mom, pew bows, and a long aisle runner. I also set up and decorated the picnic tables for the family & guests, to have food & refreshments following the ceremony. They are a very thoughtful & caring family! After the rehearsal they invited my 1 year old daughter & I for supper with the family. That was very special ~ THANK YOU :)

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~For the past couple years I have worked closely with Trans Canada Weddings. TCW is a largest rental and decor store in Calgary with many years experience and friendly service. I am very lucky to get to work with Kristine and her staff. I design the bridal party flowers and decor flowers, and TCW supplies the rentals and large decor. I also assist in the setup. I'm always glad when last minute orders are made with ease! Kathryn called me around the end of May in a bit of a panic, because she couldn’t find dresses for her girls anywhere. She came out and saw the selection of B2 dresses, and fell in love with 3 different styles for their three girls. The 6 week super rush order came in just in time, and the dresses fit wonderfully, with only minimal alterations needed. Kathryn already had her beautiful destination dress ordered, but found the headband & necklace here in the boutique to compliment it. They all picked out toe rings for a little extra bling! It was great to meet you, Todd and your 3 girls. Congrats!

I have had the pleasure of knowing Shelby for almost five years, as a colleague and friend. She is such an incredibly loving caring person and a wonderful friend! I am blessed to have friends like Shelby & Chris! She found her wedding gown here in the boutique, and I was priviledged to do their flowers and they trusted me to take photos for them. ~ February 7, 2009 ~ OKOTOKS YOUTH CENTRE FASHION SHOW ~ Okotoks, AB ~
It was a pleasure to be a part of this fashion show for the 3rd year in a row! It keeps getting better every year, and more successful for the Youth Centre. They have a fashion show & silent auction to raise money for the youth activities and equipment at the centre. I had a great group of 11 girls to work with this year from HTA & the Foothills Comp. Janette and the ladies at the Rec. Centre did a great job organizing all sponsors and decorating this year. Special thanks to my wonderful assistants Jaclyn, Melody, Suzanne & Tara. Thanks Ladies, couldn't have done it without ya :)
